Our carbon fibre tubes are manufactured using a high volume fraction of carbon fibre in a vinylester or epoxy resin matrix, providing an excellent combination of low weight, high strength, stiffness, and durability. By optimizing the fibre content, orientation, and laminate construction, we can produce carbon fibre tubes with excellent mechanical performance for demanding structural and engineering applications.

We manufacture a wide range of unidirectional carbon fibre tubes from 1mm up to 12.7mm in diameter. These small-diameter tubes are designed with predominantly unidirectional carbon fibre reinforcement, allowing the majority of the fibres to run along the length of the tube. This construction provides excellent longitudinal mechanical properties and maximum axial strength, making them particularly suitable for applications where high tensile strength, compressive strength, and stiffness along the tube axis are required.

For applications requiring larger diameters, carbon fibre tubes from 14mm and above are manufactured using a pullwinding process with an epoxy resin matrix. This manufacturing method enables precise control over the fibre orientation and multi-layer laminate structure, allowing the tube to be engineered for specific mechanical requirements.

The larger-diameter tubes feature multiple layers of unidirectional carbon fibre, providing high longitudinal strength and stiffness. Internally, a pull-braided carbon fibre reinforcement is positioned at approximately 80° across the tube axis, helping improve structural stability and resistance to loads in different directions. Externally, the tube is reinforced with a 37° double-helix braided carbon fibre layer, creating a balanced composite structure with enhanced resistance to bending, torsional, and combined loading forces.

The combination of longitudinal unidirectional fibres and angled braided reinforcement provides an effective balance between axial strength, bending stiffness, torsional rigidity, and dimensional stability. This makes the tubes suitable for applications where a conventional unidirectional tube may not provide sufficient resistance to lateral or twisting loads.

The epoxy matrix offers excellent bonding between the individual carbon fibre layers and contributes to the overall durability and structural integrity of the finished tube. The carefully controlled pullwinding process also produces a smooth, uniform surface finish, making the tubes suitable for applications where both performance and appearance are important.

Our carbon fibre tubes can be manufactured in different diameters, wall thicknesses, lengths, fibre orientations, and surface finishes to meet specific application requirements. Custom machining and secondary processing can also be considered for projects requiring precise dimensions or ready-to-install components.
