3K Matte Plain Weave Carbon Fiber Tube - Roll Wrapped Carbon Fiber Tube

Matte Plain Weave Carbon Fiber Tube has an outermost layer of plain woven fabric, which gives the tube excellent machinability, being more fragmentation-resistant than regular UD finished carbon fiber structural tubing, improving processability and aesthetics.

Our Matte Plain Weave Carbon Fiber Tube is produced by roll wrapped process, which involves wrapping the carbon fiber unidirectional prepreg in various layers and directions on the mandrel, and then curing it under extreme heat and pressure.

We lay the carbon UD prepreg in the direction of 0/90 degrees, while the majority of the fibers are laid in the longitudinal direction. This construction offers a high stiffness-to-weight ratio tube with increased bending stiffness and axial strength, a high crush resistance, and strict diameter tolerances.

Based on our more than 10 years of experience in producing matte plain weave carbon fiber tube, we have summarized the strength characteristics unique to different directions of layers:

• Fibers in the 0 degree direction provide high bending strength and stiffness.
• Fibers in the 15-degree and 45degree direction provide the high torsional strength and stiffness
• Fibers in the 90-degree direction provide high crushing stiffness and overall strength.
