Carbon Fiber Tube Description:

A composite tube is manufactured from two or more constituent materials. Individually, these materials have significantly distinctive properties. These properties could be either physical or chemical, and when these materials have been combined by the Composite Tubes manufacturer, the result is a composite material with characteristics unconventional to that of either of the individual components. The preference for composites comes down to several reasons. It could be their lower cost, or higher strength, or even their lighter weight. The most common methods of producing these tubes are pultrusion and pull-winding. The size of their walls could also be reduced as the materials tend to have a higher tensile strength. A large diameter composite tube demonstrates Excellent resistance to fatigue along with good dimensional stability. Their rate of coefficient of thermal expansion ranges from low to zero. There are four types of carbon fibre square composite tube 1. Standard Modulus Carbon Fiber Tubing or SM, 2. Intermediate Modulus Carbon Fiber Tubing or IM, 3. High Modulus Carbon Fiber Tubing or HM, and 4. Ultra-High Modulus Carbon Fiber Tubing or UHM. The strength and stiffness of all four types vary and their use depends on the application.
