Carbon Fiber Tubing Description:
A roll-wrapped carbon tube is manufactured by wrapping unidirectional carbon fiber prepreg tape around a mandrel with the majority, but not all, of the carbon fiber running longitudinally. This type of construction offers a higher strength-to-weight ratio than is available in pultruded tubes. Typically used where thin-walled, lightweight tubes are required to provide additional torsional stiffness and high strength.
Our tubes are produced by wrapping pre-impregnated (pre-preg) carbon fibre under tension around a mandrel and then cured in a specialist oven. This produces a very consistent and high-quality finished tube for many different applications such as building or repairing UAV's, robotics, and RC products. Tubes can be sourced in many different sizes to those shown - please get in touch if you require a different or custom size.

Strong and Light
Our tube is a roll tube, not pultrusion tube, roll tube had the longitude and weft yarn, but pultrusion tube only has the longitude, not weft yarn, so, the strength is not as well as roll tubes. Carbon fiber is very lightweight, the strength is steel’s 9 times, but the weight was about 1/3 of steel!
In normal condition the products can be used 50years, Now very wide used in industry, such as the lamp posts, railing, sports equipment and so on, not only for the model parts.
Ultra-Strength Lightweight Carbon Fiber Round Tubes
Made of carbon fiber, these are the strongest composite round tubes we offer. Carbon fiber is comparable in strength to 6061 aluminum yet lighter in weight. These round tubes are often used to build frames and structures.
Plain tubes have a 0° construction layup, which means their fibers are aligned in a single direction for linear strength and rigidity. They resist bending but will crush easily if impacted. They’re often used to support structures.
Checked tubes have a 0°/90° construction layup, which means their fibers are aligned in two directions to resist crushing and twisting better than plain tubes. Their checked appearance is the most common design for carbon fiber.
Glossy tubes reflect light and can be modified with a clear coat or sanded down for a matte finish.
Matte tubes don’t reflect light and can be painted without any prep work. They’re often used in photography applications.
